Several strategic alliances were announced by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the Ministry of Talent Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to expand the scope and effectiveness of India's talent ecosystem.
The signing of MoUs:
1. The goal of working with the commercial sector and government agencies is to turn India into "Kushal Bharat Viksit Bharat," enabling young people to take on leadership and innovative roles across the globe.
2. Signatories to the Memorandum of Understanding include academic institutions, business leaders, and government bodies. To improve entrepreneurial skills and self-employment chances, NEISBUD collaborates with the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE), the Department of Food & Public Distribution, and the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts.
• DGT renewed its partnership with Future Right Skills Network (FRSN) facilitated by Quest Alliance along with partners Accenture, Cisco, JP Morgan, and SAP to further skills development initiatives.
3. MSDE signed 19 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) across various departments to foster skill development and entrepreneurship.
• One led by the Directorate General of Training (DGT).
• Three by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD).
• Five under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).
• One under PM Vishwakarma.
• Nine through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
Launching of the initiative:
1. At the Skill Development Institute (SDI) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, two Centres of Excellence (CoE)—media and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)—were opened.
2. The Minister launched Mock Test 2.0 by the National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI), made in 12 languages and 4 New Age courses under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security
• The four new-age courses were introduced for Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) candidates
3. I. The Skill Gap Assessment Report on Green Hydrogen, produced by the Skill Council for Green Jobs in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), was also released at the occasion.
